Monks inside the Tashilumpo Monastery, located in Shigatse, Tibet. Tashilumpo monastery was home to the second authority in Tibet, the Panchen Lama. When the Dalai Lama fled the Chinese invasion, Beijing sought and found their support. But the idyll was short and ended up imprisoned Panchen Lama.
