Every July, thousands of Haitians are aimed at Saut d'Eau, a waterfall located 60 km north of Port au Prince, the most important pilgrimage voodoo religion of this Caribbean country. At first the Catholic Church tried to eradicate the pilgrimage considered blasphemous; now, syncretism, believers recognize the deity as Virgen de los Milagros.
